Tom Zembko

New town, new band. Tom has been putting it together for the past year and looking for just the right musicians to join in his musical vision. Originally from NY, where he was a club date musician, Tom moved to Inverness, FL, and now seeks local musicians that are committed to the same beliefs and to the same variety of musical styles as he. Julia Hartman joined up with her fiddle, as did Tom Bouchard on guitar. As part of the Cornerstone Praise Band, Tom met Jeff Esch who joined as a lead vocalist. We’re just getting it together says tommyZ but we’re off to a good start and we’re really having fun doing it.

Barney Griffin

Barney Griffin is a guitarist, singer and composer originally from Uniondale, NY, and is a long-time friend of Tom Zembko. He’s been “doing music” for well over 50 years and has written and performed a lot of Music. Just how much Music (?) he hasn’t been able to figure out. His basement Music room is a disorganized mess, but he loves being there and writing Music as well as going out to play live. In the 1980s Barney moved back to Long Island after getting his BA in music performance and composition, but he needed work. This was when he was lucky enough to find “tommyZ” (Tom Zembko) who helped him out quite a bit by getting Barney to play gigs with him in the NY metro area. In a recent phone call, Tommy said this to Barney: “Hey Barney, it’s Tom. When are you comin’ down here to Florida to play some gigs with me?” Tommy followed up that question by asking the same question about 8 more times over the last year or so. This could mean Barney may show up in Tommy’s new home state of Florida to do more music with him.
